A mother and her young daughter peek over the dappled back of a grey horse at the edge of the trees

Come as you are. Leave a little wilder.

Soulful, honest photographs of you, your people and the animals you love, made outside where the wild things grow.

Hi, I'm Trudy.

I'm the eye behind Hawkeye Jardine, and I'm happiest where the trail runs out. Camera in hand, mud on my boots, a horse or a dog somewhere close by.

I don't do stiff poses or forced smiles. We'll walk, talk, wander off the path and let the real moments come to us. The laugh you didn't plan. The way your horse leans into you. Your kids, running on ahead.

To see the way a hawk sees. Patient, wide awake, watching for the moment that matters.
Jardine
From the old French word for garden. The wild, growing things: you, your people, this land.

Bring the horse. Bring the dog. Bring the kids with mud on their knees.

Real life is the whole point.

Two ways to wander

Every session happens outside, at an easy pace, in the wild places I love. Pick the one that sounds like you, or tell me what you're dreaming up.

Hoof & Heart

Horses, dogs and the people who love them

For you and the animals who know your heart best. Your horse, your dog, the whole herd. We'll meet where they feel at home, out in the pasture, down at the barn or knee deep in the river.

  • Unhurried, at your animals' pace
  • Pasture, barn, river or mountain trail
  • Kids, partners and grandparents welcome

Root & Wander

Families, kids and kindred souls in the wild

For anyone who needs a big sky. We'll chase the light up a ridge, slide down shale slopes, wade into cold lakes and finish by the fire. You bring your people. The mountains do the rest.

  • Families, couples, friends and solo souls
  • Ridgelines, forests, lakeshores and meadows
  • Muddy knees encouraged
Wander With Me

Wander with me

Tell me about you, your people and your animals, and where the wild is calling. I'll write back with ideas, a few dates and a plan.
